Michelle was my best friend, my adventure buddy, and my family. She loved hiking wooded trails, exploring new places, and never turned down an opportunity to be outside. Like so many dogs, she spent most of her life eating kibble because I believed that if she seemed healthy, it must be good enough. I never thought to question it.

Everything changed the day she was diagnosed with cancer.

That day, I made a promise to her (and to myself) that every meal she ate from then on would be made with the highest-quality ingredients I could find. What started as searching for fresh food quickly became preparing every meal myself using organic meats, wild-caught seafood, organic produce, and whole-food ingredients I trust for my own meals.

In the weeks that followed, I noticed changes that meant the world to me. Her coat became softer and shinier. She seemed brighter, happier, and had more energy for the adventures she loved. Those moments became some of my most cherished memories with her. I could tell she was seeing a benefit from the food.

Michelle passed away at just 11 years old, 1 month after her cancer diagnosis.
